Boing, boing... your
e-mail bounced!
Your e-mail submitted to the BMW UCC
Digest has been bounced by the server without being posted to the Digest. There could be
several reasons for this. Please read the instructions below to see if your post
meets one of the criteria. Follow the instructions for correcting the issue, and try
again.
1. Posting from an Unsubscribed Address
In order to prevent spamming of the digest by automated servers, the BMW UUC Digest only
accepts posts from subscribed e-mail addresses. If you are posting from a different
e-mail address than the address you are
subscribed from, your post will bounce. Try posting using the e-mail address you used to
subscribe or subscribe the address you are using. You may subscribe and unsubscribe by
going to:
http://www.uucdigest.com.
2. Your "Reply-To" address is different from Your
"From" Address
Again, to avoid spam, e-mails which contain a different address in the
"Reply-To" field than is contained in the "From" field will bounce. Go
into your e-mail configuration and ensure these two fields are identical.
3. Administrative Requests sent to the posting address
Requests such as subscribe and unsubscribe sent to the posting
address will bounce.
- Posts to the digest should be sent to
bmwuucdigest@uucdigest.com.
- Administrative requests (standard majordomo commands) can be sent to
majordomo@uucdigest.com.
4. MIME Content
We recently started blocking messages with MIME content as it plays havoc with the list
server (and is extremely annoying to see). Please go here for instructions as to how to configure your e-mail program to prevent it from generating
MIME characters.
