This FAQ has been created to help you, the new Digest Member, become aware of what's acceptable and what's not, what's been talked about way too much, and what will get you on the Admins bad sides. Read it, learn it, love it.

  1. Which topics have been dicussed to death and need not be brought up again?
    - Foglights. Some people drive with them on during the day, we know.
    - Best Wax. No one will ever agree on which is the best so don't even ask. This also includes polish, wash, cleaners, deodorant and bikini wax.
    - Cops. A great ticket story is generally welcome. Slamming police and expressing your hatred for the Boys in Blue is not.
    - Re-badged Cars. We've all seen non-M cars with M badges, no need to bring them up again.
    - Which is the real M3, the E30 or E36?

  4. I'm on AOL and I can't send messages to the list. What's wrong?
    - More likely than not, you're sending HTML messages to the list. ONLY PLAIN TEXT MESSAGES WILL BE ACCEPTED! To send plain-text-only messages from AOL 6.x make sure your font is set to Arial (which should be the default) size 10. Type your message (in Arial). DO NOT USE ANY BOLD, ITALICS, COLORS or UNDERLINING! Finally - AND THIS IS IMPORTANT!!! - highlight all your text, right mouse click, select "text", then select "normal" from the pop-up menu.
    We will no longer forward AOL email with HTML.
